Ruislip offers superb transport connections with five stations to the City and West End.

Ruislip and Ruislip Manor stations are both served by the Tube’s Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines, while West Ruislip, Ruislip Gardens, and South Ruislip all offer services on the Central line. The Chiltern Line also runs from South Ruislip with a journey time of only 20 minutes to London Marylebone.

This gives you a wonderful capacity to reach all manner of centrally located spots without the need to even change trains.

Road connections are excellent, with the A40, M40, M25, and M4 all easily accessible. For international travel, Heathrow airport can be reached by car in less than 20 minutes.

Finding places at good schools is the major reason to move house for many parents, and Ruislip doesn’t disappoint. Field End Infant School is rated as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, while Sacred Heart Catholic School and Lady Bankes Infant School enjoy the same accolade.

For older children, Ruislip High School is also classed as 'Outstanding', a mixed secondary which caters for 11 to 18-year-olds. Queensmead School, Bishop Ramsey C of E, and Haydon School are all further outstanding options that the area has to offer.

Out and About in Ruislip

Ruislip is a fantastic place to live if you enjoy spending time outdoors. Church Field Gardens is a pretty little central park, while the area’s northern border is formed by Ruislip Common and Ruislip Woods. Sandwiched between the two is the picturesque Ruislip Lido, a reservoir which is fringed by a sandy beach and offers the perfect spot for a picnic on a sunny day.

On Ruislip High Street you'll find a range of well-known shops including Waitrose, and both Asda and Sainsbury's are conveniently located in South Ruislip. For the ultimate shopping experience, Westfield is an 18-minute direct train journey or just over 30 minutes to Oxford Street.

Queensmead Leisure Centre and Highgrove Pool & Fitness Centre are close by, with both offering excellent facilities.
