As part of the company’s ongoing sustainability efforts, Gibbs Gillespie has launched its first sustainable branch Chapel Lane in Pinner, where sales and lettings are now working together.
Some of the sustainable features of the branch include:
- 100% green energy
- 20% reduction in electricity and emissions
- 100% FSC-certified wood used throughout
- Recycled or reused – Where possible we have sourced used or recycled furniture in the branch refit. This furniture is then recycled or upcycled at the end of its life cycle
- Low energy solutions internal and external light fittings
- Low-flow taps
- Circular carpet - 65% post-industrial recycled content, and the supplier will repurpose and recycle the finished item when it reaches the end of life.
Thomas Carroll, Pinner’s branch manager said, “I'm proud to lead our commitment to sustainability, which is at the heart of our new office. Sustainability is more than a trend; it's a responsibility we owe to our clients, community, and the future. We have been accredited as carbon neutral for the last two years, hitting our target eight years early."
